Furiganascan terms of use

The service

Furiganascan offers browser-based Japanese reading tools and a scan feature that uses AI models to read and explain Japanese text in images or pasted text. It is an independent personal project, provided as is. See the about page and the pricing page.

Acceptable use

• Use the service only for lawful content.
• Do not upload child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors. Such use is prohibited and may be reported.
• Do not use scripts, bots, scrapers or other automated means to call the scan feature.
• Do not try to bypass or reset the daily limit, the Turnstile check or the site-wide cap.
• Do not interfere with the service or attempt to access it in ways it is not meant to be used.
• Use it for personal study and reading. Do not resell results or the service.

Your content

You are responsible for what you upload or paste. Images from manga, games, books and video are often copyrighted. Scanning them for your own private study is your responsibility, and you must make sure you are allowed to do so where you live. We claim no rights to your content, and we do not store it. See the privacy policy.

Results may be wrong

Readings, meanings, grammar notes and translations are generated by AI models or by dictionary software and can contain errors. They are learning aids, not professional translation, and should not be relied on for legal, medical, safety or business decisions.

No warranty and limits of liability

The service is provided as is and as available, with no promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or from errors in its results. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and suspension

We may change the service, the limits or these terms, and may suspend or stop the service or an individual's access, for example for misuse, at any time. The date at the bottom shows the last update. Continued use means you accept the current terms. Questions go to support@furiganascan.com.
